An exciting but challenging opportunity has arisen for a Legal and Insurance Manager to join an international shipping company in their London office.

In this role, you will be leading a team of 5 and will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of vessel-related claims including (but not limited to) P&I, FD&D, H&M, personal injury, pollution and war risk. As well as claims management, this role will also oversee the insurance portfolio management and will act at the Company’s subject matter expert for all insurance matters.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ relevant experience within maritime law, with a strong record in shipping litigation and P&I. You must have an in-depth understanding of insurance markets and all marine insurance, whilst some experience in non-marine insurance will also be beneficial.

You will have previous management/leadership experience and will be highly effective at building and sustaining relationships, even in challenging situations.
